The most popular standard size papers are still Mascotte Original and Rizla+ Orange. But the days when these two were pretty much the only option in the cigar shop are long gone. Mascotte and Rizla+ themselves offer a wide range of alternatives and there are also standard size papers from many other brands for sale today.
Mascotte standard size papers
Mascotte originated as a brand from the Eindhoven cigar manufacturer Mignot & De Block. Besides Mascotte Original, you can also buy extra thin and unbleached papers and papers with cut corners at SmokerShop.
Rizla+ standard size papers
Rizla+ is originally a brand of the French family business Lacroix. You should pronounce Rizla+ as Rizla Lacroix, but most people just stick to Rizla Plus, or Rizla for short. SmokerShop sells the popular Rizla+ Orange (still called Rizla Red by many) and the equally popular Rizla Blue, extra thin, self-extinguishing standard size papers. In addition, there are other thin and extra thin variants, unbleached cigarette papers and even black cigarette papers available from Rizla.
